Please note the following information refers to orders placed online only.

Qualifying postcodes will receive free delivery if a minimum order value of £30 is achieved. Orders under £30 will incur a delivery charge which will be advised at checkout.

When shopping with Nicholls, we will ask you to enter your delivery postcode or select your local branch using our branch finder, in order to display prices and stock that are relevant to you. On this page, you will be able to see if one of our branches currently offers online delivery in your area, you may be prompted to change branch if they do not. Should none of our branches offer online delivery in your area, please contact your local branch by telephone as we may be able to discuss alternative options with you.

Most of our deliveries will be fulfilled by your chosen branch and their own fleet, which could include trucks with HIAB cranes, flatbeds, or smaller transit-style vans. Should you have any specific access requirements or instructions, please discuss these with your branch upon placing your order. Occasionally, your delivery may be fulfilled by one of our suppliers directly.

Once you have placed your order, your delivering branch will contact you to discuss a suitable delivery date and time. If you need to make any adjustments to your order, it can be done at this stage. Although we aim to deliver all orders as soon as possible, in some cases there may be a delay due to stock & delivery availability from your local branch.

Collection

We also offer collection from all of our branches and this can be selected from the checkout. Once your order has been placed, your selected branch will contact you to confirm when your items are ready for collection. Please do not travel to collect your order until confirmation has been made.

FAQ about our deliveries

How long will my order take?
Once you have placed your order, your delivering branch will contact you to discuss a suitable delivery date and time. If you need to make any adjustments to your order, it can be done at this stage.

Do I need to be in to accept delivery?
Ideally, yes, but if you are not our drivers will use their discretion and leave your goods if it’s safe to do so and there is an appropriate place to leave your order.

Where will you leave my order?
Our drivers will try their best to put your goods where you want them within reason. Be aware though it is a kerb side delivery service. Also, safety is paramount so they will not drop goods anywhere that would pose a risk.

What if my order is not a stock item?
Currently, some items are experiencing longer lead times due to demand. We will keep in touch with you to let you know what's happening with your order every step of the way.

Can I contact you to find out how my order is going?
Yes, just email us quoting your Sales order reference and we will provide you with an update.

What type of vehicle will my delivery be made on?
We have a wide range of vehicles. Any access issues will be discussed when confirming delivery.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Please advise any damages to your driver at the point of delivery.

What if I want to return my order?
A restocking charge of 25% will be applied should you wish to return goods that are in a satisfactory condition. Please be aware that as timber is a natural product it will vary in colour and appearance from piece to piece. Images on our website have been used to best portray the products we sell.
