John Nicholls(Trading) Ltd supports new garden at Redlands Day Centre
Users of Banbury’s Redlands Day Centre have been busy planting a new garden, built for them by members of the Banbury Lions Club using materials supplied by John Nicholls. Featuring new raised beds, paved areas and a smart new pergola, the garden provides an area for the users to get involved with all things gardening.
This project has shown what can be achieved by the voluntary sector working in partnership with public sector service providers like Banbury Community Support and with local businesses like ours who have helped the project by keeping materials costs as low as possible and delivering on schedule to ensure the garden was ready for completion by the agreed date. This was important given that the project had to be funded entirely through the Banbury Lions charity fundraising initiatives”.
Martin Hole, Manager of Banbury Community Support is very pleased with the outcome: “we are very grateful to John Nicholls and the Banbury Lions Club for turning what was an unused and rather scruffy strip of land into a quality facility that will be used and enjoyed by the people we support for many years to come”.
This project is a great example of local businesses and organisations coming together to support local initiatives.
