Nicholls is the proud partner sponsor of Banbury United Football Club are celebrating their 75th Season this year.

The club compete in the Southern Football League Premier Division.

John  Nicholls  have  been  actively  involved  with  Banbury  United  Football  Club  for  the  past  three  years.  Andrew  Nicholls  explained  their  reasons  for  lending  their  support: “Banbury  United  are  an  integral  player  in  the  local  community,  operating  no  less  than  11  teams  and  as  such  have  developed  sound  working  relationships  and  partnerships  with  business  to  promote  their  activities.  Similarly  they  have  forged  strong  links  with  charities,  directing  their  efforts  through  fund  raising,  to  help  organisations  such  as  Katharine  House  Hospice  and  Frank  Wise  School,  through  a  disabled  person’s  coaching  project.  More  recently,  they  have  been  a  catalyst  in  consolidating  links  with  Hennef,  Germany,  Banbury’s  twin  town,  organising  a  “Friendship  in  Football”  Festival  in  which  300+  young  people,  boys  and  girls  participated.  All  these  events  are  conducted  on  a  purely  voluntary  basis,  with  no  direct  support  from  statutory  authorities,  and  as  such  are  to  be  applauded.

We  have  been  delighted  with  our  association  with  Banbury  United  Football  Club.  They  had  made  excellent  progress,  both  on  and  off  the  pitch,  as  is  illustrated  by  the  winning  of  the  Southern  League  Programme  of  the  Year  Award   and  we  have  enjoyed  extensive  coverage  of  our  business  name  in  the  local  press  and  media  and  on  occasions  in  the  national  press..  As  their  supporter  base  has  grown,  now  totalling  in  excess  of  500+,  we  have  recognised  their  value  as  customers  to  our  business;  in  addition  we  have  seen  at  first  hand  the  enjoyment  that  our  staff  are  having  in  supporting  “The  Puritans”  and  their  wish,  that  the  name  of  John  Nicholls,  continues  to  be  identified  with  the  club.  We  hope  that  our  partnership  and  involvement  will  be  active  and  supportive  in  the  years  ahead  as  Banbury  United  move  upwards  in  the  Football  Pyramid”.
